For this project, an aquarium was designed and constructed to serve as a discreet room divider between the reception and the examination area of a private clinic. The client’s primary requirement was the visual absence of any technical equipment, as the aquarium serves a purely decorative purpose within a meticulously designed space. The installation integrates harmoniously into the environment, providing a sense of privacy without obstructing the light or the visual connection between the two zones.
Minimalist materials were selected for the aquascaping, including white sand, dark rounded stones, and pieces of raw glass, creating a clean yet balanced underwater landscape. For the livestock, Lake Malawi cichlids were chosen—species renowned for their vibrant colors and ease of care—adding a lively touch to the overall composition.
